I want to discuss the new type of government that is now evolving from Obama and his political appointees. President Obama has appointed a number of radical "Czars" or if you will advisers seemingly without being properly vetted by the FBI. I recall that the FBI normally would check the background on new hires in the White House. My fear is that this isn't being done. The other disturbing fact is that none of these appointees, as far as I know, needed to be approved by the Senate. Mr. Obama has total control of the Czars.
I recently did my own background check on two of his new appointees; Van Jones, the Green Jobs Czar and Carol Browner the Energy Czar. I was dumbfounded that these two appointees, based on their backgrounds, would ever become advisors to the President.
An article by Aaron Klein from the WorldNetDaily gave an indepth background on Van Jones. Following is a synopsis of his article:
Jones is a self-admitted communist and "rowdy black nationalist". Until recently, Jones was a longtime member of the board of Apollo Alliance which is composed of labor, business, environmental and community leaders. (Recently Gleb Beck disscussed the Apollo organization telling how Acorn and SEIU unions are involved with them and how stimulis money is being funneled to these people..) Apollo states that it has only 14 state affiliates nationwide. Its New York office is directed by a Jeff Jones (no relation) who was a top founding member of the Weather Underground radical organization. (Jeff was a leading anti-war activist and terrorist group founder during the Vietnam war. His group carried out a series of bombings of U.S. government buildings. Jeff also joined the Student for a Democratic Society, or SDS, from which the Weatherman splintered in the fall of 1965.)
Van Jones is shown to be involved in radical activism. He was a founder and leader of the communist revolutionary organization "Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, STORM:" It had its roots with a group of black activists that protested the first gulf war.
STORM is known to have worked with known communist leaders. The leftist blog Machete 48 identified STORM's influences as "third-world marxism and an often vulgar Maoism."
Van Jones said that he became radicalized in 1992 in the wake of the Rodney King riots in Los Angeles, during which he was arrested.
He stated "I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist."
Jones also stated that he spent the next 10 years with many of the people he met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.
Another source for this article was Trevor Loudon who is a communist researcher and administrator of the New Zealand Blog. He said that he identified several Bay Area communists who worked with STORM, including a Elizabeth Martinez. She helped advise Van Jones' new organization Ella Baker Human Rights Center after STORM broke up. This group is an advocate for civil justice. Both Jones and Martinez also attended a "Challenging White Supremacy workshop together.
His friend Martinez is described as a long time Maoist who also is a member of the Communist Party USA, and the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, or CCDS. Martinez still serves on the CCDS council and is also a member of the Movement for a Democratic Society where she sits alongside former Weathermen readicals Ayers and his wife C. Dorhn.
During the last presidential campaign, Obama was associated with Rev Wright and the radical Ayers. The media did not pursue this association. Now we see Van Jones, a longtime radical and self admitted communist, being appointed as a Green Jobs czar.
Carol Browner is a second example of a longtime radical activist . I found information on Browner in the Townhall.com website. Following is a synopis of Carole Browner. In 1983, Brower became an associate member of the Citizens Action group where she worked with her husband and far left activists in the group's Washington, D.C. office.. In 1997, this group was involoved in a money laundering scandel involving the Teamsters Union. The scandal closed this group down. It was interesting to read about the founder, of Citzen Action, Heather Booth who was from Chicago. Her husband Paul Booth, was also the President of Chicago's Citizen Action Program that was formed in 1969 by associates of Salul Alinski's Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF). Additionally, Mr. Booth was the founding father of Students for Democratic Society (SDS) in the early 1960s.
From 1998 to 1991 Browner worked for Al Gore as a Legislative Director. She considers Gore as her mentor.
Until January 2009, Browner was listed as one of 14 leaders of "Socialist International". This group calls for the rich countries to shrink their economies in order to combat climate change. She was removed from the Socialist International website, after she was appointed by Obama as our Energy czar. Go to the Green Tracker Libary to see the former unedited listing of Browner in this organization. (Note: I do have to say that it's not illegal to belong to a socialist organization.)
The above article said that Browner's past behavior and statements demonstrate that she personally believes in government control of all economic activity.
I've alway believed in the rule of law. Most of my working years were conducted enforcing state and city laws. Hovever, I am totally against a group of radicals making law that fits their agenda of total control. Our Constitution lays out what the Federal Government is responsible for. However, this current government is attempting to re-make our government in the agenda of the radicals and in so doing --at a tremendous monetary cost.
We need to fight them by contacting congress, being involoved in tea parties, town hall meetings and supporting conservative hosts such as Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levine and Laura Ingramn. I'm sure there are more good conservative radio and tv personalities. I only listed the ones that I know and listen to on a regular basis.
We also need to get out the vote when we have the opportunity to remove some the deceitful congressmen and women. Our time to have Obama and his group of radicals removed is not that far off.
